World of warships graf zeppelin price8/26/2023 ![]() Provided you aren't facing really heavy AA she is better able to absorb losses, plus greater number of planes (both in reserves and squadron size) means more chances to score hits. GZ is nearly the opposite, and is really only beaten out by Saipan (and possibly Indomitable) in that area. The planes are really flimsy but she gets a lot of them. I'm largely echoing what others have said already but Kaga is a very forgiving CV to use. The real competition to Kaga is IMO, Enterprise.ĭecently sturdy planes, average aircraft on deck size.īut the ace Enterprise has is her really fast aircraft restoration times.Įither way, I see both Enterprise and Kaga being stronger threats later in a game than many of their peers in the same tier.įor some reason Kaga is much cheaper, is it that much worse? Kaga has "inferior" planes to Shokaku but her reserves are vast. Shokaku and GZ will fizzle out of planes earlier than Kaga. I'll throw in GZ also because this GZ is a part of the thread. The HE Bombs of Kaga are more general purpose.īut the aircraft on deck numbers are sharply in favor of Kaga. This makes Shokaku a better Capital Ship Killer. The AP Bombers of Tech Tree IJN CVs is great in dealing with CA or heavier ships, the bigger the better. Kaga has drops 4 torpedoes vs the 2 of Shokaku's attack flight. There's some other differences that Kaga is on the better end of. Specing one out for secondaries is also a complete waste of a perfectly good carrier. They sound fun, people do run them, and on rare occasions they're hilarious when they work. One reason to take any of Graf Zeppelin's numbers with a grain of salt, which is unique to her, is people driving "Secondary Meme Zeppelin's". ![]() her strike aircraft are crazy fast, but she doesn't hit as hard as Kaga. Graf Zeppelin has no such trap, her reserves and regen are perfectly normal. Kaga hits really hard, and that's pretty much been signature since she was a tier 7. Kaga doesn't have the regen to actually support that, so you still have to be careful in longer games. Kaga's front loaded reserves are something of a trap, you might think that with reserves that deep you can be reckless with her aircraft. Saipan's the worst, with her low reserves, small squadrons, and relatively slow aircraft. Graf Zeppelin, since the epic dumpster fire of her launch, has always been tier 8, and her pricing reflects that.Īs far as which one's better, there really are no bad tier 8 CV's. You'll notice, Saipan, which also got uptired from tier 7 to 8 with the CV rework, is the same price. Kaga is cheaper because Kaga used to be tier 7, and still benefits from tier 7 pricing. Which is better and why? What's their specialty? I know Kaga has huge squadrons that seem to never end. The "black" ship's camouflages do look sharp, though, eh? :-)Įdited to add: Check out "how to CV" video series on his youtube channel, too.įor some reasonKaga is much cheaper, is it that much worse? In true "A-R-fifteen-dot-com" style, I suggest "get both".īut if you can afford only one, then I suggest the Kaga. And don't loiter, neither ship's planes are "tanky". ![]() With the Graf Zeppelin, wringing the performance from "just gonna CV" may feel like you're working harder to achieve similar results.Ī quick study of the damage per warhead (torpedo, bomb, rocket) and the number of each dropped per attack will offer some clues.Ĭhoose targets wisely, make a good approach and aim well. Why? Because Tier-10 AA is nothing to sneeze at, that's why. If you're "just gonna CV", then the Kaga offers good potential and some large squadrons.Įven so, you'll perform "pre-drops" with those squadrons, in order to conserve planes. Getting either CV to reach its full potential involves 17 or more Captain's Skill points, though, which is a significant investment. I welcomed the Graf Zeppelin to my Port before I also welcomed the Kaga (and have since welcomed the Kaga-B, too).Īs for being "user-friendly", the Kaga has the edge.Īs for being "Meme-Worthy", the Graf Zeppelin's secondary battery guns can be a lot of fun when they're maxed out.
